Showcasing Member Projects
Our members are constantly turning ideas into action, and these pages celebrate the incredible projects taking shape across the Small Zoo Networks community. From innovative animal welfare initiatives and conservation programmes to education, research, and sustainability projects, these showcases highlight the passion, creativity, and collaboration happening within our network. Each project reflects the shared commitment of our members to make a meaningful impact—both within their zoos and far beyond them.
Birdland
The Punta San Juan Program's mission is to deepen the knowledge on the marine-coastal ecosystems of the Humboldt Current in Peru and to promote the conservation of biodiversity as a value of local and worldwide importance. SZN member Birdland has been supporting their work.

Paultons Park
Our work with the Species Recovery Trust on the Cicada project has been a highlight of 2025 for Paultons Park. This included 11 cicadas arriving at the park and eggs being laid for the first time in their habitats.

All Thing's Wild
All Things Wild are proud to be the main partners in Butterfly Conservation UK’s ‘Lost Fritillaries Project’. This project aims to return the once-extinct Pearl-Bordered Fritillary back to the Malvern Hills, through breeding to release and through extensive habitat management.

Paradise Park
In July 2025 Paradise Park sent 40 Mitchell’s Lorikeets to Bali as part of a collaborative project with the Bali Bird Park, Taman Safari Indonesia and the World Parrot Trust.
