Native Species Conservation Workshop

What an inspiring day at our Native Species Conservation workshop, hosted by Hobbledown Epsom.

From insightful discussions to hands-on activities, the day was packed with networking and knowledge sharing focused on strengthening native species conservation and education across our incredible community of small zoos.

Our small but mighty zoos have the power to connect our communities to our native wildlife and be part of the solution to bringing back our most vulnerable native species.

Highlights included practical sessions on dung beetle surveying and camera trapping, alongside engaging presentations on bat surveying, education initiatives, and simple but impactful ways we can all enhance our zoo environments for local wildlife.

A huge thank you to the fantastic Hobbledown team for being such warm and welcoming hosts, and to all of our wonderful members who joined us. It was a brilliant turnout and a truly valuable day for everyong involved.
