Welcoming 5 New Members

The Small Zoo Network is delighted to welcome Chew Valley Animal Park, British Wildlife Centre, Waddesdon Manor, Tropical Birdland and Fife Zoo as our newest members.

We are incredibly pleased to see the Network continuing to grow, with five organisations from across the UK joining our community. Each brings its own experience, expertise and perspective, further strengthening the collective voice of small and independent zoological collections.

Chew Valley Animal Park joins us from Somerset, bringing experience of caring for a diverse range of species and providing visitors with opportunities to learn about animals and conservation.

We are also pleased to welcome British Wildlife Centre, one of the UK's best-known collections dedicated to British wildlife. Its focus on native species, education and conservation makes it a valuable addition to the Network.

Joining us too is Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. Alongside its heritage and horticultural work, Waddesdon has a strong connection with wildlife and conservation, and we look forward to sharing knowledge and experience with the team.

We are equally pleased to welcome Tropical Birdland, whose specialist focus on birds adds another valuable area of expertise to our membership, and Fife Zoo, bringing the Network further representation in Scotland. Both organisations share the commitment to animal care, education and conservation that sits at the heart of the Small Zoo Network.

With these five new members, the Network continues to expand its reach across the UK and represent an increasingly diverse range of zoological collections. This growth demonstrates the value of having a dedicated network where smaller organisations can share experiences, discuss challenges, learn from one another and work together to strengthen standards across the sector.

The Small Zoo Network exists to give smaller zoological collections a stronger collective voice while creating opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional development. We are proud to be building a network that reflects the diversity of the UK's small zoo sector.

We look forward to getting to know our new members, involving them in our future workshops, meetings and events, and learning from the expertise they bring to the Network.
